‘Jubilee’ will honor Fr. Xavier Ilango June 23


In honor of the Silver Jubilee for Fr. Xavier Ilango, a gathering was held in India last January. Present were (from left to right) Bishop Susaimanickam of India, Father Ilango, Msgr. Mike Foltz of Moorhead, and Fr. Ambrose of India.

 Fr. Xavier Ilango, pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Frazee and Assumption in the Callaway parish, will be honored Sunday, June 23 in a celebration commemorating his 25 years as a Roman Catholic priest.

Laurie Albertson, Frazee, has been appointed to lead the Waters of Grace parish as an appointee of the Rev. Larry Wohlrabe, bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America synod for this region.

 “Waters of Grace,” the name of the local ELCA parish that meets each Sunday at the Frazee Event Center, seems to be a term that fits Laurie Albertson perfectly.
