Glander retires after 30 years of community service


Wolf Lake Rescue President Dennis Hass (left) presented Scott Glander with an appreciation plaque after 30 years of service.
Scott Glander was given a commemorative plaque in appreciation of his 30 years of dedication and service to his community Aug. 11.
 
In 1987, Scott joined the Wolf Lake Rescue Squad.

Frazee Fire Dept. conducts training burn, new recruits gain knowledge


Firefighters contain the final burn to go slow to keep the house nearby safe from the flames and heat.

Small groups of people gathered on lawns all around the neighborhood to watch the house burning.
The old house at 110 Pine Avenue was an eyesore in the Frazee community. The dwelling was recently purchased by Darwin & Sue Bartel who own the house next door.

St. John’s Height of Land Lutheran Church celebrates 125 years with a gathering Sunday.
St. John’s Height of Land Lutheran Church in rural Frazee, has been serving its community since 1891. This marks “125 years of serving, loving, and growing in Christ” which the members have adopted as the church’s motto.

Frazee Elementary playground $175,000+ overhaul begins


After a week of work, the construction crews at the elementary playground began creating a path where the sloped sidewalk will lead to the play area.
Work began last week on revamping the playground at Frazee Elementary to make it handicapped accessible.
