Vergas Fire Dept. rolls out its new engine


The Vergas-Candor-Dora-Hobart Fire Department purchased a new fire engine in December and the graphics were placed on it this past week.
The Vergas Fire Department recently purchased a new fire truck and gave it a custom paint job.

Long Lake Trail includes floating walkway, grant approval to be determined by April


An artistic rendering of the proposed floating walkway connecting the Long Lake Trail to the Tin Can Alley Trail is posted on the Vergas City website, www.cityofvergas.com.

The area where the proposed floating walkway would be placed connecting the two trails is shown on this photograph posted on the city of Vergas website.
Envision a floating boardwalk along the edge of Long Lake connecting the paved Vergas trail to the gravel one in Vergas.

Frazee Rescue celebrates 30 years

About 30 years ago, a farmer had an accident involving a tractor.  Back then there were no cell phones and word often traveled by foot until it reached a landline where emergency crews could be notified.
