Star Merrill was in a life-threatening accident Aug. 14, and tentatively will return home Nov. 7 to continue her recovery.
Star Merrill remembers going out with friends Aug. 14. She remembers making a poor choice to get on the hood of a car to surf, which she’d seen in a movie. She also remembers the car suddenly braking.

The Vergas Lions are continuing a tradition that spans more than a decade by giving out Halloween treats at the Vergas Event Center Friday, Oct. 31.
For more than a decade the Vergas Lions have scared up a boo-tastic time for little ghouls, providing a safe, indoor venue for kids to trick-or-treat and play games.
