The Frazee City Council gave the go-ahead for the city engineer, Chris Thorson of Ulteig, to prepare plans for a street and utilities project, as well as set a special meeting to approve advertising for bids March 27.
Township elections were held Tuesday, March 14 in the Otter Tail County townships of Gorman, Hobart and Candor, which each had openings for one supervisor with a three-year term and a treasurer with a two-year term.
Bonnie Julius (right) and Lois Moe were presented flowers by Mark Flemmer, president of the Frazee Area Community Club, for their combined years of service to the FACC. They had over 25 years of combined membership on the board of directors. Lois and Bonnie will remain active as members of the FACC but not in a board of director role. The Frazee Area Community Club (FACC) held its monthly meeting following the annual community meeting held at the Frazee Event Center, March 16.
The school district currently rents a detached building in the high school parking lot to the city library and a thrift store. Discussions are being had in regards to renovating or demolishing the building after the furnace broke.
The Frazee-Vergas Schools Budget and Facilities Committee met to discuss the fate of the old administrative building that is currently being used as a rental.
