Girls basketball finishes summer play
by Dave Conzemius
The Frazee varsity girl's basketball team recently wrapped up its summer schedule by playing its last three games of the summer at Hawley July 22.
The Lady Hornets varsity team finished the summer with a record of 13 wins and 16 losses. The B-squad finished with a record of 9-5.
"It was a good summer for us," head coach Dave Conzemius said. "As coaches, we have identified some areas that we need to improve on to have a successful season and the girls and the coaches will work hard to make the necessary improvements when the season starts in November."
The Lady Hornets varsity squad participated in team camps and tournaments at North Dakota State University, Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D., Minnesota State University in Moorhead, and Walker.
Frazee's varsity and B-squad also competed in the Prairie Lakes League in Detroit Lakes and Hawley Thursday nights for six weeks.
Basketball will begin for the Lady Hornets Nov. 15.
