School open house Aug. 30, 7th graders meet Aug. 23

Frazee-Vergas School District welcomes students and parents to come see what the “Buzz” is all about at an open house Wednesday, Aug. 30 from 4-7 p.m. at Frazee Elementary for grades K-6 and ECFE School Readiness families, and at the high school for grades 7-12. Come see what the district has to offer including: a positive and challenging environment that produces high test scores; small class sizes that allow for differentiated instruction; opportunity to earn up to 40 college credits; expanding educational horizons through innovative technology; wide variety of student activities; a highly qualified staff; and a 240-acre school forest.
During the open house grades 7-12 may pick up Chromebooks at the Frazee High School media center between 4-7 p.m.
All parents and students are invited to come and see what the district has to offer and meet the staff.
Wednesday, Aug. 23 parents and seventh graders are asked to attend a special event from 6-8 p.m. for 7th grade orientation which is an information question/answer session in the media center. This time is set aside for discussion about schedules, classroom expectations, general rule information, general class requirements, attendance, extracurricular activities and school dances. Also discussion about parent, student and teacher roles in the education process will be encouraged; bring questions.
