Shorty Camp

The 17th Annual VIPS Shorty Memorial Wrestling Camp was held at the High School, July 31-Aug 2.  65 young men from around the area attended camp and learned some outstanding techniques from the clinicians.

Wrestling camp maintains legacy and spirit of Scott Schermerhorn


Scott “Shorty” Schermerhorn was an all-star wrestler for the Frazee Hornets, and then became a coach prior to an accident that cut his life short.
Scott “Shorty” Schermerhorn was a guy who flew by the seat of his pants. 
 
Missy Carlson laughed at the memory of her late husband driving his derby car around their property.

Frazee 14U softball takes fourth at state tournament

The Frazee 14U Tournament Team traveled to Forest Lake for the 14U Class C State Tournament July 22-23 and finished in 4th place in the double elimination tournament.

Legion baseball wraps up season with award ceremony

Frazee’s high school baseball team recently acknowledged its players for accomplishments during the season.

Frazee Legion team heads to Districts as No. 4 seed


Logan Wacker got a first base single and was brought in by Tanner Tappe shortly thereafter.
Frazee’s Legion baseball team hosted a recent tournament with home field advantage and ended the competition with a No. 4 seed in the District.
 
The event started Thursday and concluded Saturday.

United Community Bank to host Turkey Trot, chip timing to be used


The annual Delores Smith Memorial Turkey Trot 5K draws many walkers and runners. The event is now hosted by the United Community Bank and will be held Saturday, July 29.
The Delores Smith Memorial Turkey Trot 5K run/walk Saturday, July 29 is a go for this year’s Turkey Days festivities thanks to United Community Bank.

Erica Mois holds the world trophy and wears her gold medal earned for being a member of Team USA’s women’s football team.
A 2000 Frazee High School graduate recently earned a gold medal at the football World Championships.
