The FHS Kaotic Robotics Club's fundraiser Friday at the FEC had an estimated 650 persons attend. The line snaked from the serving area for at least two hours, as so much spaghetti, breadsticks and desserts were served that more food had to be purchased during the event. Donations for the dinner topped $2,000, while the total earned with income from a silent auction and bake sale went over $8,500. The 32 students will attend a competition in St. Louis later this month.
It could have been a big collection of prospective marathon runners filling plates to “carb up” for a long jaunt on the road the following day.
Frazee resident Mary Jane Beyer recently received two awards of recognition from the Alpha Delta Kappa International Organization for Honorary Women Educators.
After more than 20 years teaching, former Frazee teacher Mary Jane Beyer was recognized for her service in education by the Minnesota Alpha Theta Chapter of the Alpha Delta Kappa International Organization for Honorary Woman Educators.
Frazee High School teacher Jim Jacobson was honored recently as Teacher of the Year at Frazee-Vergas schools. The top 10 finalists for Minnesota Teacher of the Year were announced and Jacobson did not make the final top 10.
