Daggett’s livestock hauling heyday was the 1950s, 1960s


A durable member of the Daggett Truck Line fleet from 50 years ago is still in shape for parades and other events. President Fred Daggett stands by a 1963 International that had half the horsepower of current workhorses. Daggett's 220-horsepower trucks in the 1950s and 1960s pulled about 80 livestock trailers throughout the Midwest and Canada. Trucking is a large industry. Frazee has a multitude of persons employed as drivers, not just working locally but with firms around the region.

Frazee’s Rusty Ouart is a published songwriter


Michael Lusk is a backup singer for country music icon Loretta Lynn, and composed the music for the lyrics that Wounded Warrior Rusty Ouart wrote about his traumatic experience during his tour of duty in Iraq. Lusk will be performing, and Ouart will be sharing his message at the “Freedom Concert” in Zeeland, N.D. on Sat., Oct. 12. Pictured (from left) are Lusk, Ouart and Lynn.

Frazee business expands storage and office space


A seven-garage storage facility (long building in photo front) was recently built by Anderson Bus and Coach to house its limo buses and coaches across from Graham Lake.
Anderson Bus and Coach has added a new storage facility in Frazee, and is now in the process of expanding its offices.

‘Cultural Taste of India’ dinner set Oct. 4


The featured dish will be Chicken Tikka Masala, a dish featuring pre-marinaded chicken in a sauce that includes a variety of spices. In some versions, it is combined with tomatoes or it is in a creamy sauce.
