‘Snellman Days’ re-elects Lori Mitchell mayor

Dog license sales reach all-time high, orderly annexation talk continues


This map was presented at the Vergas Planning Commission, defining the areas being considered for annexation. It should be noted phase 3 was removed from the plan, and the colored portions are not representative of the actual parcel sizes.
Vergas residents are registering more dogs with the city than ever before.

Grant provides Vergas with two bike racks


Dave Hull, owner of Eagle’s Best in Vergas, received a bike rack on his property compliments of the city. Vergas Utilities Superintendent Mike DuFrane and city employee Tyanne Jacobson installed the racks.
Two new wave bike racks were installed in Vergas last week, both at eateries. One is on Main Street near the Loon’s Nest and the other is  at Eagle’s Best.
