Kelly Schwarzrock opened Kelly Ray’s Service and Repair in Evergreen Nov. 1. He offers services for commercial vehicles, including DOT inspections, personal vehicles, trucks and tractors.
Time would tell if a mechanic was needed in the Evergreen area. The answer came quick for Kelly Schwarzrock.

Start designing now for Snowplow Parade


Some characters ride on the floats and toss candy to parade spectators.
Lights are being strung and plows and shovels are being hung on vehicles, golf carts and people in preparation for the unique and entertaining Snowplow Parade on Main Avenue in Frazee Saturday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m.

Decorators needed for holiday tree event


Frazee’s Holiday Tree Festival is seeking entrants. The trees can be any size and props are encouraged.
Grab a tree, any tree – big, small, green or white and bring it to the Frazee Event Center (114 Lake Street North) between Sunday, Nov. 29 and Tuesday, Dec. 1 and create a Christmas wonderland of uniquely decorated trees.

Rifle bullets rip through house during deer season


Tim Teiken points to the bullet hole that ripped through a steel door in the back of his garage. The picture inset is a close up of the .30-06 bullet hole that came from a rifle fired about 500 feet away.
A few minutes and a decisive decision at the meat freezer may have been the difference between life and death for Tim Teiken.
