Area quilters invite everyone to join the fun

Hundreds of quilts have been cut, sewed, tied and sent to local people who are in need of a little warmth or good thoughts.
 
The quilts come from a quilt group based in the Lutheran churches of Vergas.

Frigid temperatures combined with moisture from fighting the Jan. 21 Perham potato warehouse fire encased Vergas fireman Jason Schrupp in ice.

The potato warehouse fire in Perham destroyed the structure, but was contained to the area by several fire departments on the scene.
