Candidates announced for township elections

Voting booths will open Tuesday, March 13 in several area townships as supervisors and clerks are seeking new terms. 
 
Annual meetings are scheduled in most townships shortly after the polls close.

Generous grant buys turnout gear


David Gunderson (right) and Nick Torgerson (left) presented Frazee Fire Chief Albert Doll with a check to purchase turnout gear. Gunderson is the safety coordinator for Viking Gas and Torgerson is a pipeline operator and safety representative at the Frazee compressor station.
The Frazee Fire Department recently received a grant from ONEOK, an underground gas pipeline company, to purchase one set of turnout gear. The check was for $2,835.

Frazee-Vergas School board moves ahead with creating overall district plan

By a 6-1 vote Jan. 8, the Frazee School Board agreed to pay up to $14,000 to have a company create a plan for the district’s future.

Terry Birkeland is working on an end table that is all about showing Bison pride. He’s pointing to the mascot, noting it will glow in the dark.
Terry Birkeland’s woodworking business recently outgrew his home shop and he relocated to a much larger building on the outskirts of Frazee.
