Lion’s Park was in need of a facelift and got one with the aid of the Frazee Community Development Corporation (FCDC), community members and students from Frazee-Vergas high school.

FCDC board member Jay Estenson advised the board about repairs needed at the park’s restroom facilities.

FCDC board members Anna Potvin and Hank Ludtke spearheaded the installation of new roofing for the bathroom building Saturday, May 7. Students from the high school did some spring cleaning at the park during the school’s annual Day of Caring Wednesday, May 11.

“Once this part is done, our goal is to get the stairs down to the water repaired so that we can enjoy one of our city’s crown jewels, the Otter Rail River,” said Polly Andersen, FCDC member.

Involved in the restroom repair effort were the Frazee Lions, Frazee City Council representatives, Cornerstone, Frazee-Vergas Schools and FCDC members.

Aleisa Jopp of the Chic Shed Junque Boutique and Sweet Shop fed the repair crew.
