Richard Fleming
Frazee-Vegas VFW Post 7702 Quartermaster Richard Fleming volunteered to have his head shaved and his ponytail cut off if his daughter Rhiannon Fleming could gather $300 from the crowd at the Flag Day Celebration Saturday. She raised the money in less than an hour and barber Jon Stone took out his shaver and went to work as onlookers watched. When asked to shave off the beard, Richard responded he was saving it for the Turkey Dynasty beard contest at Turkey Days July 25-27. From the $300, half will go to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and half will go to the Purple Heart Perham Chapter. Photo by Cally Nundahl
