Annmarie Jacobson
Memories of WWII. Annmarie Jacobson was born in Romania. In 1942, her mother was taken to Russia for years, forced to work in a Soviet detention camp near Sochi, site of the Olympics. She never saw her father, who was killed in the war. After her mother returned, the family eventually came to America in 1956. She and her husband Robert live at Vergas. Photo by John W. Dermody
